Abstract

Small not-for-profit organizations often struggle to ensure that financial reporting obligations are met effectively and that board members are qualified and engaged in the active governance of the resources with which they have been charged. This case traces governance and control challenges faced by Simcoe Christian Academy, a private Christian not-for-profit elementary/secondary school.
